Elizabeth Keep Avery

Elizabeth “Lizzie” Porter Keep Avery (1851-1910) was born in Warren, Connecticut to Rev. John Robinson Keep (1810-1884) and Rebecca Porter Keep (1818-1893). She had three siblings: Robert Porter Keep (1844-1904), William A. Keep (1847-1867), and Mary Keep (1849-1874).

Lizzie P. Keep married Dr. George W. Avery (1836-1893) in 1884, she was his second wife. They lived in Farmington and Hartford. They had three children: Mary Elizabeth Avery (1885-1962), Alice Porter Avery (1887-1966), and Melanie Avery (1891-1955).
