BiographyRebecca Porter Keep (1818-1893) was born in Farmington, Connecticut to Noah Porter (1781-1866) and Mehitable “Hetty” Meigs (1786-1874). She had six siblings: Samuel Porter (1810-1901), Noah Porter (1811-1892), Sarah Porter (1813-1900), Giles Meigs Porter (1815-1901), Elizabeth Green Porter (1822-1908), and Maria Morgan Porter (1824-1913).
Rebecca P. Keep married Rev. John Robinson Keep (1810-1884) in 1842, in Farmington. They had four children: Robert Porter Keep (1844-1904), William A. Keep (1847-1867), Mary Keep (1849-1874), and Elizabeth Keep Avery (1851-1910).
