BiographyThe Standard Machinery Company was founded in 1875 by Isacc, William P., and Silas B. Randall, as the Reliance Machine Company. The Reliance Machine Company manufactured cotton gin machinery. In 1873, the company was renamed the Sanborn Machinery Company, which later changed once again to the Standard Machinery Company. The company began manufacturing bookbinders' machinery in 1871.
