Woo Kee Tsao

Chinese, 1864 - 1932
BiographyWoo Kee Tsao was born in 1864 in Cuiwei Village 翠微村, Xiangshan, Guangdong Province. He was a student of the Chinese Educational Mission, and attended both West Middle Public School and Hartford Public High School.

Woo was hosted by R. Ogden Dwight and Helen E. Blakeslee, of South Hadley, Massachusetts and Hartford, Connecticut.

After the Mission, Woo attended the Fuzhou Naval School, and fought in both the Sino-French War of 1884 and the Sino-Japanese War of 1894. Woo served with the Chinese Consulate in Seoul, South Korea and worked in the Shanghai-Nanking Railway.

Woo Kee Tsao died in Shanghai in 1932.
