BiographyFun Chin was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1876, the son of Chinese Education Mission translator Kwang Ki Chin (also seen as Kwong Ki Chiu) and his wife, Sieu Chin.
Fun's mother Sieu died in Hartford on 17 September 1877, and was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery until her remains could be brought back to China. In 1882 Fun and his father moved back to China.
