BiographyIda Matilda Elander Johnson (14 Sept. 1894 - 15 Aug. 1969) was born in Skomarbole, Finland. She emigrated to the United States from Southampton, England on the S. S. Majestic and entered New York City on 5 October 1911. She married Alfred Johnson (1889-1990) on 12 May 1917 in Waterbury, Conn. He was originally from Sweden. They had at least one child: Esther Sylvia Johnson Burzler (1920-2002). She and Alfred lived in Thomaston, Conn. Her sister is Alice Elander (1896-1967). Her brother-in-law and sister-in-law are Frank Johnson (1899-1986) and Elvira Swenson Johnson (1915-2002).
