Cole & Company

Cole & Company was founded by Frank Hancock Cole of Asbury Park, New Jersey, in 1903, and was in business at least through World War I. He was also employed by Peter Henderson & Company, a seed firm located in New York City, from 1902 until at least 1920.

Cole was born in Jersey City, NJ, in 1876. During the Spanish-American War, he served in Company I, Fourth Regiment of the New Jersey National Guard from June 1898 until April 1899. He also served as commissioned first lieutenant in the Signal Corps of the United States Army in 1918.
