Joseph F. Morelli

BiographyJoseph Morelli received his B.A. from Ohio State University in 1938, earned his L.L.B. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1941 and was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1946. Prior to his 1969 appointment to the bench, Judge Morelli was an attorney in private practice and a public defender for the Fifteenth Circuit Court. and served as Mayor of New Britain, Conn. from 1956-1960. Judge Morelli was appointed to the Circuit Court in 1969 and was elevated to the Superior Court in 1978. He retired in 1986 at the age of seventy.
