Emilio Q. Daddario

BiographyEilio Daddario was born in Newtwon Center, Mass. He graduated from Wesleyan College in Middletown and from the University of Connecticut Law School. He served as mayor of Middletown, Connecticut from 1946 to 1948. He was appointed a judge of the Middletown Municipal Court where he served from 1948 to 1950. A Democrat, he served in the United States Congress from 1958-1970. In 1970 he ran unsuccessfully for Governor against Thomas J. Meskill. He served as president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science from 1977 to 1978. He co-chaired the American Bar Association's Association for the Advancement of Sciences and the Conference of Lawyers and Scientists from 1979 to 1989. He was a resident of Middletown.
