James E. Taylor

BiographyJames E. Taylor was born at Cincinnati 12 December 1839. In 1861 he joined the Union army and in 1863, he became an artist-correspondent for Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper. After the war, he did many illustrations portraying Indians and frontier life. He died in New York City on 22 June 1901.
