BiographyCharles F. Merriam was active as a photographer in Hartford, Connecticut from about 1916 to about 1919. It is possible that he is the same Charles F. Merriam who took out a patent on a process for making educational photographs in 1920, who applied for a passport in 1924, and who was working at Mammoth Cave, Kentucky in 1940. If so, he was probably born about 1880.
