Helena Hood

Helena Hood was born in England and married Harry Waterfall. They emigrated to the United States and settled in Boston in the 1880s. Harry worked as a waiter and Helena had ten children including a daughter named Miss Helena Gertrude Waterfall who was born 30 June 1889 and died in August 1975 in New Jersey. Helena Gertrude lived most of her adult life in Hartford, Connecticut. Helena Hood's first-born child was Harry William Waterfall, who was born in Boston on 6 June 1887 and earned his B.S. from M.I.T. Harry worked as a mechanical engineer in the United States and abroad; he taught engineering at many colleges and universities, and lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, when he died in March of 1947.
