Harriet A. Dow

The imprint of "Harriet A. Dow, Photograph Artist" appears on a carte-de-visite portrait of William B. Bacon in the Craig Collection. Dow's address is given as Danielsonville, Connecticut. She is listed in the 1865 tax assessment as a photographer and her place of residence is listed as Killingly. She is probably the same Harriet Dow who was living in Killingly at the time of the 1850 Census; she was then seven years old. She may be the Harriet Dow who married William Henry Winn in Woburn, Massachusetts in 1863.
