Russell Cheney

BiographyRussell Cheney was the youngest of the eleven children of Knight Dexter Cheney of Manchester, Connecticut. He was born in Manchester and attended Hartford Public High School and Yale University. He then studied art at the Art Students League in New York City and the Academie Julien in Paris. He maintained a studio in Manchester and later bought a house in Kittery, Maine. He died of a heart attack in Kittery in 1945.
