BiographyThomas Peter Kugelman (25 Oct. 1934 - 18 Aug. 2013) was a dermatologist in private practice in the Hartford area.
He married Alice Kirkpatrick (1935-2020). They had three daughters: Lisa, Karen, and Margaret.
Dr. Kugelman was a well-known authority on 18th-century Connecticut furniture. He and his wife collected Connecticut River Valley furniture. In 2005, they published a scholarly book with Robert Lionetti, Connecticut Valley Furniture by Eliphalet Chapin and His Contemporaries, and organized an accompanying exhibition at the Connecticut Historical Society.
