BiographyThomas A. Budd was an American naval officer, who worked for the United States Coast Survey in the early 1830s and served as cartographer on the United States Exploring Expedition. He was killed commanding the U.S.S. Penguin at Mosquito Inlet, Florida on 22 March 1862.
