BiographyWilliam H. Rease established a lithography business at 17 South 5th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1844. In 1858, an advertisement for the company claimed that they made maps, portraits, show-cards, views, steamship prints, and also mounted an varnished maps, cards and prints of all kinds. From 1857 to 1860 the business was located at the northeast corner of 4th and Chestnut Streets.
