William C. Woodbridge

BiographyWilliam C. Woodbridge was born in Medford, Massachusetts. He attended Yale College and spent most of his later life in Connecticut. He was the author and compiler of Woodbridge's School Atlas and other atlases and maps, published in Hartford, Connecticut. He sometimes collaborated with Emma Willard. The world map in his 1829 school atlas was the first to show Nathaniel Palmer's discoveries in Antarctica.
