BiographySylvia E. (Davis) Patricelli was an Australian portrait painter. She was born in Orange, New South Wales, Australia, the daughter of Elsie Weyer Davis and Leslie James Davis. She attended the Royal Academy of Fine Art and studied under W. Lister Lister, a well-known Australian landscape painter, for three years.
She moved to the United States at age 23 as a war bride. She married Anthony P. Patricelli (1913-2000), and they lived in Granby and West Hartford, Connecticut. Sylvia taught at the West Hartford Art League.
