DescriptionRectangular, bailed work basket made of plain-woven ash. The round rim is single wrapped and double reinforced, with half-round interior and exterior reinforcement. Bail handles are attached on the exterior of the basket. The warp splints are medium width; the weft splints are narrow to medium. The weave of the base is closed; it is reinforced with narrows woven in. All odd warps and all wide wefts are dyed with blackish-walnut and a reddish-brown, which may come from hemlock bark.
