DescriptionSquare basket with a round rim, made of ash. The rim is double reinforced with fat, flat interior and exterior reinforcement. Two small handles on either side of the basket attach at the rim and ear. The warp splints are medium to wide. Some weft splints are narrow, others are medium to wide. The basket is shaped like an Oneida basket, but it has the stamps of a Mohegan basket. Unit painting in blue and Spanish brown decorates the basket.
