DescriptionMorning suit consisting of a coat, vest, pants, and suspenders. The suit coat and the vest are made of dark heathered gray twill-woven wool. The coat is styled with the front sloping to long tails in the back. It is single-breasted, with five-inch-wide lapels and a single breast pocket on the proper left side. Vertical darts extending from the waist seam in front, and curved side back seams help to create a close fit to the coat. Three decorative, though plain black, buttons are stitched to the outside of each sleeve wrist; two buttons are stitched at the top of the seaming of the tails. The coat is lined in black twill-woven silk.

The vest closes with six buttons; it ends at the center front waist in a double point. The fashion fabric is on the vest front only; the back of the vest is the black silk fabric which also lines the coat. The vest has four welted pockets. The vest lining is white polished twill-woven cotton.

The pleated pants are made of dark gray/black/white striped wool. They have a button fly and are constructed with a center-back split in the waistband. There are two diagonally slashed pockets on the sides, and two hip pockets. Buttons around the inside of the waistband attach to the suspenders. The waistband lining and pockets are made of black twill-woven cotton.

The suspenders are turquoise/brown silk-like woven tapes, with leather loops for attaching to buttons, and gold-tone metal clasps for adjusting the length. These two tapes attach via leather tabs to a metal ring, to which is attached the center back elastic tape, which is also turquoise-colored. This tape ends in another leather tab and metal ring and two more leather button loops. One of the two leather button loops has been removed from each of the front straps, as there is only a single button for the suspenders at the front of the pants.
