DescriptionGreen satin T-strap shoes, with oval toes and knock-on, satin-covered heels. The vamp is styled with six opposing pointed tabs, meeting at a center vertical strip, with a laced effect from tab to tab. The ankle strap closes with a silver-toned metal rectangular buckle. The quarters are cut with a quarter-round design on either side. The satin upper is lined with ecru-colored leather. The sock lining is covered with beige silk.
NotesHistorical Note: Hannah Latimer Cheney's wedding dress (1988.85.1a-c) was a copy of her mother's 1898 wedding dress, made of Cheney Brother's silk. Her wedding shoes (1988.85.2a-b) were dyed green to match her dress.
