DescriptionA group of men, women, boys, and girls stand in a graveyard beside a large stone building with closed louvered shutters, probably a church. Behind them is a stone monument inscribed: "IN MEMORY / OF / [five illegible lines] / I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER / LIVETH. JOB. 19.25." Men and boys wear coats, jackets, vests, and trousers. Women and girls wear dresses. One woman wears an apron. Two wear bonnets. One holds a handkerchief. Several people point at an inscription in the sky: "[Hebrew letters] / GOD. / The first cause of Eternity, source of bounteousness, / Father of immortal Souls." A weeping willow is at the far right, near a large urn. Other trees in the background probably include cedars or poplars.
