DescriptionPewter coffeepot, part of a coffee service consisting of a coffeepot, creamer, and sugar bowl. Each object in the set is hexagonal, with straight sides that taper from bottom to top. Each has at least one solid, angular handle that is soldered to the body. Each is formed from a sheet of pewter that is beaten to the appropriate shape; one angled corner of each object is a soldered seam. The bottom is also formed from a pewter sheet that is soldered to the body.

The coffeepot has a truncated, conical finial soldered atop the low, domed, hexagonal lid. The lid pivots on a slender hinge located at the top of one side of the coffeepot. The lid rests on a lip at the top of the coffeepot; the lip has a round opening in the center. The handle is attached to the coffeepot at the same side as the hinge. Opposite the handle is a straight spout formed from a sheet of pewter. The spout is soldered to the body of the coffeepot at an angle.

The body of the coffeepot has minor scratches. Additional deeper scratches are located to the left of the handle and to the right of the spout.
