DescriptionCast pewter gallon measure with a tapered lip, a baluster-shaped body, and a flared foot. The body of the measure is decorated with incised lines; there are two pairs of lines on the lip, and two groups of three lines each around the widest part of the body. The measure has an cast, ear-shaped handle. At the bottom of the handle, a short cylinder and a diamond-shaped plate attach it to the body of the measure; the handle is soldered onto the body. There are file marks on the handle. There are light scratches over the body of the measure, with additional deeper scratches at the widest points.
