DescriptionCast pewter sundial consisting of a round disc with raised Roman numerals on the face, in a circle around the edge. The numerals run clockwise from five to twelve on one side, and from one to seven on the other. Between the numbers "VII" and "V" are the raised initials "NM". The center of the sundial has multiple raised concentric rings. The sundial has a solid pewter triangular gnomon, a piece joined perpendicularly to the top of the sundial that casts a shadow to indicate the position of the sun. The face of the sundial has additional raised lines that connect the tip of the gnomon with each Roman numeral. Three evenly spaced holes are pierced through the edge of the sundial. A white substance is adhered to the top of the gnomon.
