DescriptionThree brown paper grocery bags, each with the same design in black ink on the lower half of one side. The words "F. B. GATES/ GROCER" appear over a man driving a horse drawn deliver wagon. On the side of the wagon are the words, "F. B. GATE'S/ GROCERY WAGON/ GOODS DELIVERED FREE". The man holds the reigns in his left hand and an up-lifted riding crop in his right hand. Below the scene with the wagon are the words, "PLYMOUTH, - CONN." The paper on each of the bags is ridged at the top, but smooth on the printed portion.
