DescriptionPressed colorless glass paperweight with black and white transfer decoration. The paperweight consists of a rectangular glass block with smooth edges and corners. The bottom surface of the paperweight is recessed. A design, applied using a black and white transfer printing process, is applied into this recessed area and is visible through the top of the paperweight. The design shows the bust of a man with grey short hair and a beard, wearing a tie and suit jacket. Below him are the words, "COL. ALBERT A POPE/ FOUNDER OF THE MANUFACTURE OF BICYCLES/ PROMOTER OF THE AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRIES/ AND THE/ PIONEER OF THE GREAT MOVEMENT/ FOR BETTER ROADS./ MADE BY J. N. ABRAMS, 247 W. 126 ST. N.Y."
