The jug has a white or grey glaze, possibly a Bristol-type glaze. Opposite the handle, on the body of the jug, is a hand-painted black enamel branch with grey pussy-willows and green leaves. The bottom of the jug has a round printed paper label that reads, "This/ "SNACK JUG"/ contains not less than/ two ounces of/ GINGER SAUCE/ R. A. DEEL CORP./ Lyme, Conn." A green plug fills the neck of the jar. There is light crazing over all the glazed surfaces of the jug.
