DescriptionMold-blown colorless glass medicine bottle with a thick flared rim, a cylindrical neck, rounded shoulders, a square body with canted corners, and a flat bottom. One side of the bottle has a raised mark consisting of the letters "SG" superimposed over "& M Co". This is surrounded by a ring with "SG.Moses & Co APOTHECARIES" inside. On the bottom edge of the ring is a small banner that curls to the right. Inside the banner is the word "HARTFORD". The rim of the bottle has a chip.
NotesProvenance Note: According to museum records, bottle 1978.4.0 was found at Red Hill Farm on Main Street in Glastonbury, Connecticut. (Hudson 4/13/2005)
