DescriptionPressed green glass cup plate with a scalloped edge, shallow sides, and a round foot. The cup plate is smooth on the top surface; the pressed pattern is found on the bottom. The pattern begins in the center with a one-story building with tall windows and a tower on a stippled background. A columned porch toward the left side of the building bears the words "SOMERS PUBLIC LIBRARY" on the portico above. This scene is surrounded by the words "SOMERS, CONN" above and "1734-1984" below. Between the words is a horse's head on the left and a leaf on the right. Surrounding this is the scalloped edge, with three dots inside each scallop. The cup plate (.a) is accompanied by its original two part cardboard box (.b-.c) and cotton padding (.d).
