DescriptionWine glass made of blown colorless non-lead glass. The wine glass has an inverted bell shaped bowl over a straight opaque twist stem, and a round foot with a pontil mark on the bottom. The opaque twist in the stem consists of a central core of tightly woven elongated strands of opaque white glass, surrounded by four more loosely twisted strands of opaque white glass.
Pontil mark: A rough place on a blown glass object where the solid metal rod, or pontil, is cracked off the object after final shaping and decoration. Pontil marks can be polished to achieve a smooth surface.
