DescriptionBottle with a blown inverted conical collar at the rim, a string ring below the collar, and a slender cylindrical neck that narrows slightly just above the shoulder. The shoulders of the bottle slope down to a cylindrical body. The bottle has a high, domed kick and a smoothed pontil mark on the bottom. The cylindrical remnants of a cork seal the neck tightly. Liquid is present inside the bottle. There is minor rubbing and wear over the exterior surface of the bottle. The remnant of a rectangular label may be visible at one side, just below the shoulder.
Kick: An indentation in the bottom of a drinking glass, bottle, or other glass object.
Pontil mark: A rough place on a blown glass object where the solid metal rod, or pontil, is cracked off the object after final shaping and decoration. Pontil marks can be polished to achieve a smooth surface.
