DescriptionBlown and engraved colorless non-lead glass tumbler with a plain rim, thin tapered sides, and a shallow kick with a pontil mark on the bottom. The tumbler has an extensive wheel-engraved design on one side, consisting of a bird sitting on a plant, surrounded by flowers and curled lines. This is flanked on either side by two triangular, abstract plants or trees. An undulating line is located at the bottom of the design. There are many small air bubbles and seeds, or unvitrifed matter, in the glass. There is a ring of light scratches and wear circling the edge of the bottom of the tumbler.

Pontil mark: A rough place on a blown glass object where the solid metal rod, or pontil, is cracked off the object after final shaping and decoration. Pontil marks can be polished to achieve a smooth surface.
