DescriptionPair of mold-blown figured flasks; .1 is olive green glass, and .2 is olive-amber glass. Each figured flask has a double ring at the rim, a cylindrical neck, rounded shoulders that curve to tapered sides, a flattened body, and a flat bottom. The flasks share the same two combinations of raised decorations and words; one combination is on one side of each flask, and the other combination is on the other side. On one side, the word "LIBERTY" is above an eagle with outstretched wings. The eagle holds two halves of an oval wreath, or olive branch, in its talons, and a shield is superimposed over its body. On the opposite side are the words, "WILLINGTON/ GLASS Co/ WEST WILLINGTON/ CONN". The eagle side of figured flask .2 has a square label bordered in red on two sides, with "731/ WGI" hand-written in pencil and ink. The second ring at the rim of flask .2 has a small chip.

NotesHistorical Note: "Liberty" flasks, or "Eagle" flasks as they were called on original Willington Glass Company price lists, came in 1/2 pint, 1 pint, and 1 quart capacities. (Hunt 4/14/2005)
