DescriptionMold-blown green glass snuff bottle (.a) with a slightly flared rim, a narrower neck, rounded shoulders, a rectangular body with canted corners, and a rough pontil mark with a shallow kick on the bottom. The remnants of a paper label are adhered to the lower half of the front of the snuff bottle. At the top of the label, only a portion of the engraved design remains: it shows a plant, a bottle, two feet, and a stack of boxes. Below this are the words, "FIRST QUALITY/ Macaboy Snuff,/ MANUFACTURED & SOLD BY/ Mrs. G. B. Miller,/ 110, WATER-STREET, N. Y." The bottle is accompanied by a small, cylindrical cork (.b) that fits loosely into the neck, and a small scrap of tan, plain-woven fabric with frayed edges (.c).

One shoulder of the snuff bottle is missing, leading to three cracks on the back. The top half of the label is torn away. The bottom corners of the snuff bottle have areas of wear and light scratches. The cork has many holes and missing edges. The fabric is starting to unravel.
