DescriptionCylindrical white earthenware mug with a plain rim, sides that widen slightly down to a projecting ring at the base, and an inset bottom. The mug has an angular handle. A line of gilding circles the mug at the rim, and a tapered line of gilding follows the outside of the handle. On one side of the mug, to the left of the handle, a circular scene is printed in blue, green, red, orange, and black enamel. The scene shows a swimming pool, with a diving board to the left, on a lawn with trees in the background and a flowerbed in the foreground. There are fluffy white clouds in the sky. People are lounging by the pool, swimming, and getting out of the water. A circular area in the foreground of the scene is printed with the words, "Ted Hilton's Resort/ MODUS-CONNECTICUT". There is crazing over all the surfaces of the mug.
