DescriptionTwo women and two men stand beneath a large oak tree. The women wear bonnets. One holds a parasol. The men wear top hats. One holds a cane. A smaller sketch of what appears to be the same tree is at the lower left. The main drawing has been squared for transfer.

NotesArtist Note: This appears to be the preliminary drawing for E.C. Kellogg's lithograph of the Charter Oak; presumably, therefore, it is by E.C. Kellogg. The fact that the drawing has been squared for transfer further suggests that it was reproduced in another medium.
