DescriptionA marble monument consisting of a high rectangular base surmounted by an ornate urn or lamp is at the left. Inscribed on the base are the words, "TO THE / MEMORY / OF". A man and two women stand at the right. The man wears a double-breasted coat, shirt, necktie, and trousers. The elderly woman in the center wears eyeglasses, a bonnet, and a cloak over a black dress. The woman at the right wears a patterned shawl decorated with fringe over a black dress. She holds a bonnet in her hand. A weeping willow grows at the far left, arching over the monument. Two leafy trees are at the right. Ferns and leafy plants grow in the left and right foreground. The three people stand on a grassy lawn, with a lake in the background. A two-story house with a porch is on the far side of the lake, reflected in the water.
