DescriptionSmall, round, porcelain plate with a printed pattern in green, peach, grey, brown, blue, and black enamels. The pattern shows a mill wheel in water to the left, connected to a wooden mill building with a Dutch roof to the right. A stone wall and wooden fence separate the open area in front of the mill from the water to the left. A horse-drawn cart is in the open area in front of the mill, and lush green trees fill in the background. Below the pattern is the title, "The Old Town Mill, Built 1650, New London, Conn." There are several light scratches on the surface of the plate, and the remnants of a line of gilding at the rim.
