DescriptionSmall, round, grey stoneware jug with a salt glaze on the exterior. The jug has a pulled strap handle that begins at the rim and neck and ends at the shoulder. Hand-painted cobalt blue decoration is found circling the rim and at the base of the handle; a large spiral is located on each side of the handle. An additional three cobalt blue decorations are spaced evenly around the shoulder of the jug. These consist of fishscale motifs, composed of three circles in a triangular configuration, each with a dot in the center. The glaze on the jug is imperfect, showing bumps and pits where the stoneware was not completely smooth. There are several spots of brown, which may be a part of the glaze. Additionally, there is a large area of loss at the rim, opposite the handle.
