DescriptionStoneware bottle with a wide band rim, sloping shoulders, cylindrical body, and flat bottom. The exterior and interior of the bottle are coated with a dark brown slip glaze, or Albany-type glaze. To one side, at the bottom of the bottle, is an impressed mark, "[IMP]ROVED/ IRON STONE/ NEW HAVEN, Ct". Concentric ovals are visible on the bottom of the bottle, where the bottle was cut from a wheel with a twisted wire. There are four small chips in the shoulder.
