DescriptionSmall-mouthed redware preserve jar (.a) that has a cylindrical body, narrow neck, and a flared rim that supported a fitted lid (.b). Two incised lines circle the shoulder of the jar. The interior of the jar is coated with a clear lead glaze, and much of the exterior is as well, with the exception of the bottom inch of the jar, which is unglazed. Several small, irregular patches of manganese black have been applied to the outside of the jar and the lid. The lead-glazed lid is in the shape of a disc with a small circular finial in the center.

There is light crazing over all the glazed surfaces of the jar, and many small scratches on the exterior. An area of the lid broke off at some point in the past and was reattached.
