DescriptionCylindrical, white, ironstone mug with two printed patterns, one in blue enamel, the other in blue and yellow enamel. The first pattern is to the left of the molded and applied angular handle. It consists of the blue printed words, "RETIREES DINNER" and, "APRIL 28, 1981" above and below the large, yellow enamel letters, "CML". These three letters have a shadow in blue enamel. All of this is surrounded by a rectangular wreath of leaves, with a large blue circle at the bottom center. The entirely blue enamel pattern to the right of the handle shows a three-story building with a central, projecting portico supported by four full columns. The front of the portico reads, "CONNECTICUT MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY". A tree and bushes are in front of the building. The tree has few leaves, and some of the bushes are covered in snow. To the lower right of the pattern is the name, "WELLINKER".
