DescriptionCylindrical, bucket-shaped, white, earthenware jar and lid with a wooden handle. The jar (.a) has a flat base, nearly vertical sides, and a slightly flared rim. The bottom two and a half inches of the jar have a raised decoration that imitates a basket weave. This same basket weave pattern can be found circling the center of the round, slightly domed lid (.b). There are two large knob-shaped handles located on the jar, just below the flared rim. A third, and smaller, knob-shaped finial is located in the center of the lid. A wooden handle is connected to the two handles on the jar. The wooden handle consists of a loop of wood that has been wrapped in strips of wood, perhaps using bamboo or wicker. Finally, the portions of the jar and lid without raised decoration are covered in a dense, transfer-printed, underglaze cobalt blue floral pattern, titled "Cashmere". In the pattern, various flowers are interspersed with leaves and branches. A narrow border at the rim consists of a solid blue line, a dotted blue line, then a continuous pattern of diamonds, triangles, and geometric shapes. A similar pattern and border has been applied to the tops of the handles.

The lid of the jar has several areas where the glaze has worn off at the outer edge, plus two chips. There is one chip on the inside rim, and light crazing on the inside and outside of the bottom of the jar.
