DescriptionPair of round, porcelain cameos with a white porcelain raised decoration. One cameo (.5) has a green background with raised white decoration, while the other cameo (.6) has a pink background with raised white decoration. The raised decoration shows three women standing in a circle, holding hands, and dancing. They are wearing flowing, draped, Grecian-style costume. The back of each cameo is smooth, but has the hand-written inscription "Hartford/ Porcelain Cameo".

Cameo (.5): There is a medium-sized chip on the back left side of the cameo. An unknown yellow substance, perhaps used in the manufacture of the cameo, has accumulated on the front of the cameo in the crevaces of the raised decoration. There is a small pencil mark on the top upper surface of the cameo.

Cameo (.6): There is a large chip on the back left side of the cameo. An unknown yellow substance, perhaps used in the manufacture of the cameo, has accumulated on the front of the cameo in the crevaces of the raised decoration. The raised decoration has also acquired minimal amounts of dirt over time.
NotesHistorical Note: George Douglas Rankin, the donor's father, was the President of the Hartford Faience Company in Hartford, Connecticut.
