DescriptionRound, shallow plate of tin-glazed earthenware, a type of ceramic known as delftware. The plate is decorated with a hand-painted blue pattern and border. The pattern shows a group of three flowers on a leafy stem that emerges from the ground. Smaller plants fill in the space below the larger flowers. This pattern is surrounded by two lines, creating a circular border around the pattern. The first line is plain, while the second line is scalloped. The rim is decorated with a separate border of triangles and curved lines creating a regular geometric pattern. There are three large chips and two smaller ones in the rim. Some of these chips are visible on the underside of the rim.
