DescriptionGroup of twelve round, shallow, soft paste porcelain soup plates hand-painted in underglaze cobalt blue. Each soup plate has a scalloped rim with a feathered edge. The center of each soup plate is decorated with a bunch of grapes surrounded by trailing vines, leaves, and insects. The rim of each soup plate is decorated with large leaves attached to thick vines, as well as insects. The underside of each rim has an abstract vine decoration repeated three times.

Several of the soup plates (.2, .4, .6, .8, .9, .12) have undergone restoration to include staples along cracks and complete reconstruction of portions of the rim. Soup plate .9 has only undergone minor comestic repairs.
