DescriptionLarge, cylindrical porcelain mug with gilding and enamel in green and blue. The mug has a band of gold at the rim and the foot, with hand-painted lines of green and blue enamel circling the mug in an interlocking pattern. Above, below, and between the enamel lines is additional gilding of abstract flower and acanthus leaf motifs and parallel lines of hatching. Some of the gilding has worn off of the handle. Some of the enamel around the handle has worn off as well.
